Project Types: Employee Research

Client: UBS
In order to develop effective new communications material to be used on campus, UBS was keen to investigate the methods used by graduates to target potential employers and to identify the most appropriate methods for targeting potential employees. The information was need urgently so the groups were held on one day and the report and findings were available within a week.
We conducted two 90-minute focus groups amongst employees who were currently on the UBS graduate training programme. As well as confirming the most commonly used routes for finding employment, these groups gave us a clear insight into the importance of having the right type of personnel on campus; the significance of the length of the application process and the speed of response from the employer; the personality of UBS and how it differs from other similar organisations and specific messages about the organisation and the roles which should be communicated to potential employees.
