Review of current global communications materials

Project Types: Employer Branding

Client: Hess

As part of a wider global Employer branding project we conducted a review of all relevant communications emanating from Hess across the world. The main objective was to look at the consistency and appropriateness of design and tone of voice, as well as identifying the most frequently used themes and messages.

In all, over 30 items were reviewed. These were predominantly printed materials, advertisements, posters and documents. We also reviewed their corporate internet and intranet sites as well as a number of related communications and employee satisfaction surveys that impacted on the internal perception of communications. We were able to determine several primary themes together with a range of supporting messages on which a secure communications platform can be built. A by-product of the exercise was that it provided the client with an inventory of their communications and enabled them to see all of their output together in one place.
