Encapsulating the employer brand of a newly founded organisation is quite a challenge – particularly in the early days of its evolution. Merck Serono came into being in January 2007 when Merck KGaA, a German chemical and pharmaceuticals group, acquired Serono, a Swiss biotech company, creating a new pharmaceuticals division within the Group. By November of 2007 the integration was complete and the company needed to raise its profile in the employment marketplace across Europe and beyond. more

This project was implemented during the autumn of 2006 when PwC’s growth focus was on the Emerging Markets of Eastern Europe – 23 countries were coming on stream quickly across the region and all were focused on recruiting graduates and experienced professionals of the highest quality. The key objective was to identify a compelling EVP for PwC across the region, part of which required us to consider the potential relevance of the messaging being utilised at that time across the UK. more

These in turn have driven a succinct and powerful EVP statement that positions the character and culture of Barclays very clearly, enabling potential candidates to select themselves in or out very easily. more
